Genius Tool That Improves Your Sanding Finish
Have you ever sanded a piece of wood only to find it's as smooth as a gravel road? We've all been there, and it's a common frustration in woodworking. But don’t worry—I’ve got a solution that will change your sanding game forever. Introducing the Alignment Peg, a tool that makes sanding as flawless as a baby's cheek. It might just look like a simple peg, but trust me, it’s a precision instrument designed to align your sandpaper perfectly every time.
The Importance of Proper Sandpaper Alignment
The secret to a perfect finish isn’t just about the grit of the sandpaper or the brand you choose; it's all about application. Misaligned sandpaper leads to uneven sanding and tears, which can ruin your project. With the Alignment Peg, those problems vanish. Every piece I sand now feels like magic—super smooth and ready for finishing.

Compatibility and Versatility
The best part? This little tool works with both Festool 125 and 150 orbital sanders, so you don’t need to reinvent the wheel; just perfect it. The Alignment Peg pairs with a universal base plate featuring 17 threaded holes and four countersunk holes for added versatility. The inside pin holes are for the 125 sander, while the outside holes cater to the 150. It’s super simple!

Why I Created the Alignment Peg
I designed and invented this tool to tackle one of the biggest headaches in woodworking: achieving a flawless sanding finish every single time. After investing a lot of time in engineering and designing this tool, I believe it’s a game changer. But here's the real question: will it sell or flop?
Reflecting on Past Innovations
In our last episode, I introduced a table saw clip for the bow push stick—an accessory designed to make using your push stick safer and more accessible. I showcased a few other accessories for woodworkers, but to my disappointment, I didn’t sell a single one. It was tough to swallow, but I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end; it’s part of the process.
A Season of Experimentation
This entire season is dedicated to answering one big question: can a 3D printer really make you money as a woodworker? If you’re curious, stick around! We’re going to test ideas, build prototypes, create products, and see what works and what flops. Maybe this Alignment Peg is the idea that finally changes everything.
